UN/PAIR Collars
UN/PAIR Collars fw 25 26
It's all about the collar. Your outerwear's best friend is about to arrive.
Turn them, curl them (or not), and wear them however you like. The brand new @unpair_official collars are here.
With a faux fur side or a patterned side, our collars are double-sided and can be worn on either side, curled or straight, knotted at the front or back.
They are an explosion of tartan, houndstooth, cotton flannel and ribbed velvet combined with faux fur or quilted nylon.
But let's start from the beginning, from our world of reference, which has always taken its cue from the male wardrobe.
In addition to our ever-present tartan and houndstooth, we wanted to reinterpret classic men's sports shirt fabrics, mixing them with “puffy” and furry effects, such as faux fur or chocolate velvet combined with elegant quilted nylon.
Think of mixing tartan, houndstooth and checked patterns from men's shirts with faux fur collars inspired by old 1960s coats, and finish it all off with sophisticated trimmings, embroidered ribbons and macramé edges, jacquard and gingham patterns. Add a sporty touch to this mix and match: the ribbon to tie them is a shoelace, tubular or flat, patterned or plain, inspired by the mountains and the laces of classic hiking boots. Finally, the ends of the laces are coloured resin balls in line with the colours of the variant, reminiscent of the marbles we played with as children and giving them an original and playful touch.
From this journey of references and original mix and match combinations, our collars are born, breaking with the classic image of the usual ruffles collars... also because, we confess, we really like them even when they are not ruffled. They are the accessory that allows you to add a unique touch to even your most basic outfits. You can use them as a collar to give your look some edge, but also keep them up and tighter around your neck to protect you from the cold or wind.
Some versions are warmer and more voluminous, such as those with cream-coloured astrakhan fur, while others are medium weight and less “oversized”, such as the nylon versions or those with dark brown faux sheepskin.
An accessory that is easy to carry with you; if you don't wear it right away, you can easily roll it up and slip it into your bag.
Sold in packaging that appeals to our surrealist side, a biscuit box that promises “good vibes inside” and also makes a perfect Christmas gift.
